5-15 AM Productivity Trap - Morning Gain Evening Drain
Tried waking up at 5:15am this week.
Expected: productivity unlock.
Reality: productivity decline.
Gained 1 hour of morning focus. Lost 3 hours of evening capacity.
After 5pm meetings and walking my dog, I had nothing left. Side projects? Forget it.
The "start early, win early" fantasy assumes your day ends early. Mine doesn't.
Here's what I'm trying instead:
→ Protect 2 evening hours on Mon/Wed/Fri. No meetings after 3pm.
→ Test my actual chronotype (theres a quiz for this).
Forcing a rhythm that doesn't fit your life isn't discipline. It's self-sabotage.
