Psychological Safety in Code Reviews

Your PRs Are The Real Test of Psychological Safety

Psychological safety isn’t just speaking up in meetings. It’s whats happening in your PR comments.

Team surveys say "we are not afraid to give/receive tough feedback." Yet the code reviews are silent.

I see engineers spot issues, hesitate, and then hit "Approve.” They choose social comfort over technical quality.

Approving code you know is suboptimal makes you more dangerous then the person who wrote it.
They didn't know any better. You did.

Technical excellence dies from a lack of courage, not lack of skill.
