Strength Turned Weakness - Engineering Manager vs Indie Hacker
My Strength is My Weakness
My biggest strength as an Engineering Manager is also my biggest weakness as an indie hacker.
At my day job, I preach Continuous Improvement. It's how we build high-performance teams, we optimize everything.
But on my side projects? Itβs a curse.
Instead of shipping what's 'good enough', I'm stuck in a loop:
- Tweaking the landing page for the 10th time
- Refactoring code that already works
- Tweaking #ai prompts which are just good enough
And my MRR is still at a solid $0.
(well, actually $30 but it does not count..)
The obsession with perfection that makes me a good leader is whats stopping me from being a founder.
